Guinea is situated on the west coast of Africa and is bordered by several countries, these being Bissau and Senegal to the north west, ,Mali to the north east, The Ivory Coast to the south east and Liberia and Sierra Leone to the south. The male doll is wearing green cotton harem pants and a white cotton top made out of one piece of fabric, which is stitched at the bottom on each side, leaving the sides completely open. The female doll has a very elaborate hair style which is built up on a bamboo and wire frame. These hair styles show their wealth and status in the society.
