Fantastic hand made doll with great attention to detail. Cloth over wire armature and painted features. Ring in nose and henna painted hands and feet. She is even holding a beautifully hand made cloth doll (or baby?). Even the doll has jewellery. Red painted nails. Her blouse has an opening revealing a nipple. (I am not sure if this is intentional or not!) 11" high. India. C.1975. Makers marks: "1028 - Gujarati Tribal woman having bundles of sticks balanced on her head" on a label on the front of the base.
