This little doll has a sisal plaited body and a wooden head with painted features. Wearing cotton clothing. Her corded hair is done up in a chignon. She is a Furaha Christian Council doll. (Furaha means joy). 5.5 inches high. Kenya, East Africa C.1980. Makers marks: None, but a similar doll is featured in the book: "African and Asian Costumed Dolls" by Polly and Pam Judd, page 17.
